Former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh’s Son-in-law Booked For Rs 50 Crore Fraud

Raman Singh’s son-in-law Puneet Gupta has been accused of committing financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 50 crore and causing a huge loss to the state exchequer.

Raipur: The child in-law of previous Chhattisgarh boss priest Raman Singh was Friday reserved for supposedly submitting money related abnormalities to the tune of Rs 50 crore amid his residency as the administrator of a state government medical clinic here, police said.

Singh’s child in-law Puneet Gupta, who was in the taxpayer supported organization, once filled in as the administrator of the state-run DKS Hospital here.

Gupta was reserved for phony and duping dependent on a grumbling by occupant director of DKS Post Graduate Institute and Research Center Raipur (or DKS Hospital), Kamal Kishore Sahare, at the Golebazar police headquarters, Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police Prafull Thakur said.

In his objection, Sahare affirmed that amid his residency as the director of the middle, Gupta and others had submitted money related anomalies to the tune of Rs 50 crore and made a gigantic misfortune the state exchequer, he said.

The administration had gotten protests relating to arrangement against standards in the medical clinic, following which a request board was comprised, Thakur stated, citing the objection.

Afterward, the board of trustees presented its discoveries to the administration, which uncovered Gupta had supposedly abused his position and submitted misrepresentation of Rs 50 crore, the grumbling said.

Gupta and others were reserved under area 409 (criminal rupture of trust by local official), 420 (duping), 467 (falsification of important security), 468 (fraud for reason for tricking) and 120B (criminal intrigue) of the Indian Penal Code, Thakur stated, including that further examination was in progress.

The names of other blamed were not referenced in the grievance and they are a piece of the examination, he included.

Gupta was moved as the officer on extraordinary obligation in the Raipur Medical College after the Congress government assumed responsibility in December last.

A month ago, he had left the administration after a body of evidence was enlisted against him by a Congress chief regarding the supposed fixing of the Antagarh get together bypoll held in 2014 amid the past BJP routine.
