An Indian Air Force (IAF) Mig-29 fighter jet has crashed in Punjab. The pilot of the fighter jet managed to eject safely before the crash.
An Indian Air Force (IAF) Mig-29 fighter jet on Friday crashed near Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, reported news agency ANI.
The fighter jet burst into flames soon after falling to the ground in Chuharpur village area. The Mig-29 pilot has survived the crash, added the report.
IAF officials have also confirmed that the pilot managed to eject safely before the crash.
Local authorities soon reached the spot quickly and took stock of the situation. The pilot was taken directly to a nearby hospital after the crash.
