New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham took a dig at International Cricket Council after ICC asked cricket lovers to spot the face of Indian team captain Virat Kohli in the sea of KL Rahuls.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) attempted to trick cricket fans on the occasion of April Fool’s Day. Taking to Instagram, the ICC wrote, “Can you spot Virat Kohli in this sea of KL Rahuls?”
Neesham came up with a hilarious comment on the ICC post as he said, “You guys have really lost the plot”. India cricketer KL Rahul also commented on the post with a laughing emoji.
As far as Neesham is concerned, he was due to play in the IPL for the first time since 2014. His services were secured by the Kings XI Punjab in the auction for his base price of Rs 50 lakhs. However, his comeback has been extended now with the IPL also being deferred until April 15 and the chances tournament happening this year are bleak.
The coronavirus outbreak has taken the world by storm, killing more than 38,000 people and the global count of infected people crossing 8 lakh. The Covid-19 has also brought the sporting world to a halt, the biggest of which was the postponement of Tokyo 2020 by a year. Several other major sporting tournaments also stand suspended in the time of this pandemic.
