Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 may launch in February next year, as per a report by Forbes. The report is based on the one from Danish website GameReactor. Moreover, the report also says that the first person shooter game may also be set in a different geographical setting than North America. Far Cry 5 is set in Hope County, Montana, that’s home to a cult with the name of The Project at Eden’s Gate.
The latest Far Cry game to have come out is Far Cry: New Dawn that was launched last year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms at a starting price of $39.99 (about Rs 2,852). The game is a direct sequel to Far Cry 5. Since it is a direct sequel, the game’s world is affected by the nuclear war that happened in Far Cry 5. The nuclear war caused the game’s landscape to change. Consequently, it led to the formation of new areas in the game for the players to explore.
For the next year, Ubisoft has pinned its hopes on another big offering: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The exact launch date of the Viking-themed action role playing game hasn’t been revealed yet. However, Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will arrive Holiday 2020 on Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Sony PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia and PC. The game can be preordered from Ubisoft’s US website. Besides Valhalla, some of the other upcoming games by the French game developer are Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine and Watch Dogs: Legion.
