Twitter may roll out emoji tweet reactions

NEW DELHI: Twitter is busy rolling out new features in order to make the platform more interesting. Now, app researcher, Jane Manchun Wong has revealed that the company is working on a feature which will enable users to react to tweets with emoji.
This is not the first time that Twitter is planning to introduce emojis, as an online report revealed that the company tried doing something like this in 2015.
Wong posted a screenshot on Twitter which shows tweet-reaction, which means that Twitter is giving an option to respond to a tweet with emoji which includes laughing, crying, and shocked faces. The feature will come handy when you don’t want to reply to a tweet as you can just send an emoji.
Recently, Twitter also rolled out the ability to react to direct messages which indicated that the company is interested in experimenting more with emojis.
Meanwhile, Twitter revealed that it is working on a new feature which will prompt users to first read an article they are about to tweet. The company has also started testing the feature with limited Android users with English language.
Whenever a user will decide to tweet an article before reading it, then Twitter will prompt them to open it before they tweet it. The company has not yet revealed as to when this functionality will be made available to other operating systems.
In a tweet the company mentioned, “Sharing an article can spark conversation, so you may want to read it before you Tweet it. To help promote informed discussion, we’re testing a new prompt on Android — when you Retweet an article that you haven’t opened on Twitter, we may ask if you’d like to open it first.”
